Tea Party Parties After Wins

HOT TREND TODAY FROM UNCLE GOOGLE Rabu, 22 September 2010 , ,

The Tea Party celebrated well into the night after pulling off several primary victories, including a huge upset in Delaware where Christine O'Donnell toppled nine-term Rep. Mike Castle.

A similar victory saw newcomer Carl Paladino defeat former congressman Rick Lazio in New York's Republican gubernatorial primary.

While Tea Partiers party, some Republicans are worried these far-right candidates will alienate more moderate voters. Castle was popular in Delaware for being in-line with the state's middle-of-the-road views.

Meanwhile, Maryland readies for a repeat election as Governor Martin O'Malley (D) faces the man he beat, former GOP governor Robert Ehrlich.
